Gary Larson is the agency manager/co-owner of Western Dakota Insurors agencies of Rapid City, Spearfish and Sturgis, SD and is a Co-owner of Leavitt Recreation and Hospitality Insurance. Gary has been in the insurance business for 35 years as an agent and agency owner. Gary serves on LGAA board of directors for the Other States Region and Insurer Relations Committee for LGAA. In 1991 Gary obtained the designation of Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), a designation held by less than 10% of licensed insurance agents in America. The Certified Insurance Counselors (CIC) Program has been the insurance industry's premier, proven source for practical, real-world education since 1969. The coveted Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation signifies a higher professional level of experience and competence.
Gary also serves on The National Alliance for Insurance Education and Research board of directors. He serves on numerous charitable and non-profit organizations boards ranging from American Cancer Society, Girls Club ( Youth and Family Services) to Black Hills State University Foundation.
Gary is married to Kendra, part time Speech Pathologist, he has 3 children, Nathan 34, an agent/co-owner at WDI, Lauren 22,a student at USD and part-time summer and holiday employee of WDI, Stephen 16 a Sophomore in high school.
Gary is a pilot, enjoys snow skiing, golf and most outdoor activities.
