He first worked as an agent with American Family until 1990 at which time he joined Western Dakota Insurors. Terry has specialized in the farm and ranch insurance business and in June of 2004, was made an underwriter. Graduated from Black Hills University in 1970, and was promptly drafted in to the US Army. He was handed picked to serve in the US Honor Guard (The Old Guard) in Washington, DC, discharged in 1972. Terry has served on the Central States Fair Board, the RC Chamber Ag Committee, is a director and Treasure of the Black Hills Stock Show Foundation, and is a member of the Officials.
